I admit that I am not as quick-witted and funny as my daughter is; when she gets in the "zone", smart, intelligent and hilariously funny comments fly off her tongue effortlessly. Actually, both my daughters are like that, but they certainly didn't get it from me. I am more reserved and practical in my communication style which sometimes come across rigid. Knowing that, you would think I would stay away from activities such as public speaking, blogging, or tweeing, but nooo...., I took it upon myself recently, to create a Facebook page where I began to post thoughts, comments and short anecdotes hoping that it would uplift anyone who read them. Well, as it turned out, I was probably the only one reading them because according to my daughter "the posts were just-not-interesting".
So here I am at a junction, about to shift gears. It is time to turn around and head in another direction. I may be rigid in my communication but I've learned to be flexible when it comes to change. Of course, change is never easy, and I will miss my Facebook page because I had fun with it, but it wasn't producing the results that I had hoped for. I learned a great lesson a long time ago, which is that you can't keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result. So it's goodbye to the Facebook page and hello to my next adventure!
LESSON LEARNED FROM THIS EXPERIENCE.......I need to lighten up!
